Sometimes, the best marketing campaigns are the ones no one notices because they’re so ingrained in society.
Much of what is considered normal was originally thought up by a mastermind who knew he could create a buzz. Sometimes it’s even downright dirty. For example, according to Business Insider, the maker of Dasani added sodium. Why? Because that way you’re dehydrated faster so you’d need more water.
For that matter, Doritos added MSG so its consumers can become addicted to the brand.
However, let’s talk about good marketing tricks you might not know about.
One thing all marketers want is attention. They want to attract attention to their businesses, and to themselves. However, with so many social media sites to choose from, you must feel like you’re drowning and don’t know where to start. After all, you can’t be everywhere all at once. You can use Hootsuite or Scoop.it for that. While it doesn’t cover everything it’s the best I know of right now. However, I know a better site is coming and you’ll get a review for it right here when it’s out.
Furthermore, you can post on Quora and get media attention. According to Inc.com, someone once posted tips on spying and Forbes reprinted it. Another site is Klout. Posting there can get you links on Bing.
Another good way is to follow the influencers. If you form a relationship they can help you. While you’re at it, you can also follow the influencers of the influencers.
Another tactic is to offer help, then sell your product. Look for someone selling something similar. You can offer your services, like offering help fixing broken links. Then you briefly mention your product.
Finally, try loading up on content to get pageviews. You can load thousands of articles onto your sire. Traffic will come.
