It seems that Tylenol is going to have a new warning label. This time it’s about the risks of taking too much.

Overdose from taking acetamenophen, which is found in Tylenol, has been the cause of sudden liver failure in the United States for more than 10 years.
This is an unusual step that was taken. It was disclosed by Johnson & Johnson and it comes as the number of lawsuits are growing.
The new warning label will begin appearing on Extra Strength Tylenol in October and on many other bottles of Tylenol over the next few months.
The warning will make it clear that its main drug, acetaminophen, is the leading cause of liver failure.
Overdoses send 55,000 to 80,000 people to hospitals every year and kill at least 500, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration.
While acetaminophen is found in more than 600 common over-the counter and prescription products like NyQuil and Sudafed, Tylenol is the first to have this label on the bottle cap.
The cap will read: “CONTAINS ACETAMINOPHEN” and “ALWAYS READ THE LABEL.”
Over a shorter period of time, the product can be safe if used as directed. That means taking 4,000 milligrams or 8 pills in a day.
However, we know of something that you can take for pain that doesn’t have any side effects. It’s called IceWave patches, made by LifeWave.
